The Bridge City Camping Trip is coming up the first weekend in August. This
event is an annual event of the Bridge City Friends Meeting. All are
welcome to come, and there is no cost to individuals, although donations are
always welcome. The event is loosely structured, with everyone bringing
their own food and camping gear. We often do some shared meals and as it
gets closer to the event there will be announcements about that. There is
no real program, but since we will be at Silver Falls State Park it is
likely that we will have a group hike on Saturday. Generally there is
meeting for worship on Sunday Morning. And of course campfires and singing
in the evening. It is a wonderful time to get out in the woods, and have a
fun time connecting and sharing with others in the Meeting.
Currently we have 2 group camp sites reserved, each can accommodate up to 25
people. In order to help with planning we need to have a head count by June
30 in order to know if we should cancel one of the group sites. So please
take time to get the registration information to Kate Jaramillo by June 30.
Information about the state park including a registration form to help in
this process is attached.
Everyone is welcome. - If you don't get your name on the list by June 30
you can always check with Kate later to see if there is still room or even
if we fill up with overnight campers folks are welcome to come for the Day
on Saturday August 2 or Sunday August 3.
