Talk by Beth Blogett Time: 7:00pm - 9:00pm Location: Multnomah Mtg Hse. [ map ] "Beth will tell us about her life and work at Amigas del Señor, a monastery for women she founded in Limón, Colón, Honduras. She will speak about her monastic calling to a life of prayer, spiritual formation and voluntary poverty. Beth writes, "A day in our life includes worship, gardening or sewing, housework, music and reading. There is volunteer health work and connection with the public school and the local communities. Our spritual practices are mostly in the United Methodist and Friends (Quaker) traditions." Beth has done what perhaps many of us have dreamed of doing. How has monastic life changed her? How might listening to her experiences change us?"
